The diffusers are equipped with a special glass membrane, making sure that the CO2 is distributed very slowly, and in tiny bubbles (micro-bubbles), into the aquarium water.
The water plants take advantage of this during their assimilation process.
Due to the fact that the tiny bubbles of CO2 stay in the water for a long time, a huge reduction in the usage of CO2 occures.
